The main purpose of a ski jacket is to keep the body warm especially whilst taking part in extreme sporting events in particular skiing or events using a snowboard or other extreme sports apparatus.
A lot of science and research goes behind the development of the ski jacket. It’s thin and skintight fabric is ideal for speed skiing and different designs can give the participant an advantage (or disadvantage) over opponents. The ski jacket’s design is intended to improve aerodynamics with the aim to reduce as much air resistance as possible.
